Kosta Art Gallery
The Kosta Art Gallery is located in Kosta, the heart of the Kingdom of Crystal and just shouting distance from the glass kilns at the Kosta Glassworks. The gallery represents our contemporary art glass with new exhibitions from our famous designers.
The Kosta Art Gallery was designed by modernist architect Bruno Mathsson in the early 1950s. The Bruno Mathsson Hall has a glass mosaic floor, made in Kosta, and floor-to-ceiling windows. On the far wall is a mural by Vicke Lindstrand. The old Glassworks Office was converted into a gallery in 2014. You can also enjoy a cold drink in the Ice Cream Parlour designed by Lena Bergström.

This summer’s main exhibition at Kosta Art Gallery is a show of teamwork. Some of Sweden’s most appriecated artists have together with our glassworkers created a shimmering show of glass in all shapes and techniques. We call the exhibition in Bruno Mathssonhallen Together, to emphasize the teamwork. In the old Mill Office we show unique pieces by Lena Bergström, Kjell Engman, Hanna Hansdotter, Erika Lagerbielke, Bertil Vallien and Göran Wärff.
