Bruk– A series by Anna Ehrner
This is Bruk, the new colorful collection designed by Kosta Boda in Småland, Sweden. Inspired by nature, designed in a beautiful symbiosis of function and form.
The word Bruk stems from the Swedish word “to use” but
is also a link to the special place where it all started – The village of Kosta in Småland with its old glassworks factory, surrounded by black lakes, deep forests and beautiful nature. More than 275 years of collective experience and a tradition of craftsmanship, creating durable and high quality products.
“For me, creativity takes place in the blowing room. This is were the glass is conceived, where it is fashioned and comes alive. I want to work with the glass, not against it. In my designs, I try to follow along with the melt, with the sheer power of the glass, although I try at the same time identify the simple and subtle.” Anna Ehrner is experimental and stylistic in her expression. Her work is characterised by minimalistic yet powerful design language. Coloured lines inside the glass are a recurring feature for Anna Ehrner.
